TEACHING

Patrick Behnke is an attentive and dedicated teacher active within many arts education institutions across the Los Angeles region, having taught students from first beginning an instrument to receiving the ABRSM Certificate with Distinction. Patrick holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Viola Performance from the University of Michigan, and a dual Master’s Degree in Music Performance and Composition from the California Institute of the Arts.

Patrick teaches group classes for Harmony Project Los Angeles, Harmony Project Long Beach, the Los Angeles Music and Art School (as an orchestra coach and occasional leader), and in private instruction. He has also coached and at times led high school string orchestras in many locations throughout Los Angeles County, such as for string orchestras at the South Pasadena Public Schools, the Alhambra Public Schools, and the El Monte Public Schools, as well as for the Santa Clarita Valley Youth Orchestra.

Patrick’s engraving and archiving clients include I Cellisti Publications.

Patrick’s score engravings have been used by schools such as the Yonkers, New York Public School System, Columbia University Marching Bands, and the Birmingham, Michigan Public Schools.
